  • Great visual aid to help kids see the effects of anti-biotics on bacteria cultures. Good to show side by side with other common household items like lysol, hand soaps, hand sanitizer, etc.

  • Disc are easy to use and give a visual for students to understand how antibiotics work. To make them stick to agar, lightly tap the top of the disc. I use the wooden end of a cotton tipped applicator, but even a pencil, lead end, would work. Just make sure that what you use is smaller in diameter than the disc.

      This convenient set of antibiotic sensitivity discs contains two paper discs of four different antibiotics (8 discs total): Penicillin 10 units, Ampicillin 10 mcg, Neomycin 30 mcg, and Erythromycin 15 mcg. Each antibiotic sensitivity disc is 1/4" diameter. These antibiotic discs are used for bacteria sensitivity testing and allow you to test up to two different bacteria cultures with four different antibiotics.
