      Large Fetal Pig Dissection Kit

Dissecting a fetal pig is one of the best hands-on ways to learn about mammal anatomy. This affordable fetal pig dissection kit has everything you need, including a preserved, double-injected 10-13" fetal pig, photographic dissection guide, #22 scalpel, dissecting scissors, teasing needle, dissection pins, and a dissecting tray.

The 8-page dissection guide provides step-by-step instructions and includes a checklist for locating 23 major anatomical organs and structures during dissection. The 10-13" fetal pig is double injected to easily differentiate arteries (red latex injected) and veins (blue latex injected).

Note: Specimens are initially preserved with a formaldehyde solution, the best animal tissue fixative. The formaldehyde is then displaced first with water and finally with a glycol solution to produce a moist, low-fume specimen which will not decay over time. Plan to use specimens within one year of purchase to ensure the best tissue quality. Specimen discoloration and dryness over time is normal and does not indicate decay.

Store your specimens at normal room temperature—refrigeration is not required. Storage in attics or garages at high temperatures will damage the specimens. For later use, store opened specimens in a sealed zip-lock bag to prevent them from drying out.
