  1. How do I sign up for My Science Perks?

    My Science Perks is part of your HST account. If you don’t have an account, you can create one for free. It only takes a couple of minutes and there’s no obligation to purchase anything. Click here to create your online account now.

  2. I already have a Home Science Tools account, how do I create a My Science Perks account?

    You don’t need to! If you have an account on our site, you already have a My Science Perks account, too. Just log in and navigate to “Rewards” from the My Account drop down to see what you’ve earned and how to earn more.

  3. How do I earn My Science Perks rewards?

    You just log into your HST account when you shop See all the ways you can earn points here.

  4. Do I earn My Science Perks rewards on items purchased using a discount promo code?

    Yes! You will earn points for the subtotal of your order (excluding discounts and shipping & handling costs).

  5. Can I use My Science Perks rewards to pay for purchases when I’m also using a discount promo code?

    Yes! My Science Perks rewards will show up as store credit at checkout.

  6. Do I keep the My Science Perks rewards earned from a purchase that I ultimately returned?

    No. The amount earned on returned item(s) will be deleted from your account upon return of the item(s).

  7. I used My Science Perks reward credit on my last order, then I canceled/returned it. Will I get my credit back?

    Unfortunately, we don't reissue My Science Perks credit once it has been redeemed, even if you cancel your order or return items.

  8. Can I combine My Science Perks rewards with those of my family or friends?

    No. My Science Perks balances from multiple accounts cannot be combined.

  9. How much will I earn for writing a product review

    We award $1 for each approved product review left on our site via a review request email we send to you after you make a purchase.

  10. When are My Science Perks deposited into my account from a transaction?

    Credit will appear in your account once your order ships.

  11. How soon can I use my rewards?

    My Science Perks credit is available for use as soon as it shows up in your account.

  12. I can’t see where to update my birthday information – help!

    Currently, only customers who have reached either our Gold or Platinum tiers can update their birthday information. If you are in one of those tiers, you can do so by following these steps: Log in > Navigate to “Rewards” > Click on “Ways To Earn More” and scroll down > Find the birthday reward box and click > A window will pop up prompting you to save your birth date. Note that if we already have your birth date information on file, you will not be able to change it.

  13. I checked out as a guest – will I earn rewards for my purchase?

    Unfortunately, our rewards program only works for customers who are logged into a valid account.

  • We reserve the right to monitor reward account activity and to remove or delete balances or accounts at our discretion if we find them to be a misuse of our program.
  • Points may not be shared or transferred. Points that are transferred, bartered or sold will be void and nonredeemable.
  • Members may opt to purchase products without using their Points. Members may not redeem or exchange accumulated Points and/or Reward Value for cash. Members may not give/donate/transfer/share their Points and/or Reward Value to other user’s Accounts.
