Circuits: Hands-on Electronics Kit

Unlock the fundamentals of electricity and electronics with the Circuits: Hands-on Electronics Kit, an immersive hands-on STEM resource for aspiring electrical engineers and makers.

In this kit, students will experience electronics firsthand through guided experiments with breadboards, LEDs, resistors, and transistors.  Students will practice essential circuit-building skills while exploring the fundamental concepts of voltage, current, resistance, and Ohm's Law through engaging hands-on activities. The circuits kit comes with a full-color Student Workbook and comprehensive Teacher Guide. This kit contains activities and information that focuses on the phenomena of electricity and electronic circuit design.

This Launch level kit will provide over 13 hours of learning, educating students about electrical engineering, circuit principles, and the science behind how electronics work. 

This kit will guide students through the following activities:

• Build simple circuits using breadboards and LEDs to understand how electricity flows through complete pathways
• Use a multimeter to explore voltage, current, and resistance through application of Ohm's Law
• Decode resistor color bands and test how different resistance values affect LED brightness in circuits 
• Experiment with switches, potentiometers, and photoresistors to control electrical flow in various ways
• Discover how transistors act as electrically controlled switches and amplifiers
• Use digital circuit simulation software to design and test circuits virtually
• Apply the engineering design process to create and test an original creation

Use Circuits: Hands-on Electronics to answer questions such as:
