Medium Crack-Open Geodes, Set of 10

Have a geode-breaking party or just enjoy discovering what's inside each of these natural whole geodes and adding them to your rock collection. You'll get a set of 10 medium-sized geodes, which are formed when mineral deposits build up inside volcanic or sedimentary rock "bubbles."

Although you can buy fancy, already-opened geodes at a rock shop, it's more fun to break open your own geodes to see what quartz crystals or other interesting mineral deposits are inside! You provide a hammer or rock pick for students to break open their own geode. Cracking instructions are included on the packaging the geodes comes in. These are natural quartz geodes from Morocco.

Please note: Some may not contain crystals. However, it's still fun to break open your own geodes because of the interesting mineral deposits inside! Sometimes some of the outer rock does scrape off or open in shipping, revealing just a beautiful hint of what's hidden.
