The Erycard Blood Type Test Kit helps to easily answer this common question: "What is my blood type?"

This single-use kit from Innovating Science is specifically designed for educational use. It contains everything needed to perform one complete human blood test for ABO and Rhincluding an Erycard 2.0 Blood Grouping Card for ABO/RHo(D) Forward Grouping with Autocontrol.

Whether you're wanting to visit the blood bank for a donation, or you're simply curious about your blood type, this Erycard blood test is simple, easy-to-use, requires a small amount of blood, provides accurate results, and comes with step-by-step instructions. Manufactured by Tulip Diagnostics, the Erycard blood test based on the principle of lateral flow and guided by capillary action.

Here's how it works:

  1. Prick your finger with the included finger prick tool, and add a drop of blood to the series of wells on the Erycard that contain blood typing antibodies (there are 4 total)
  2. Add buffer to the 4 wells beneath the blood-filled wells to rinse them
  3. Observe as some wells remain red, while others wash away clear (wells with blood samples that agglutinatewill remain red, while those that do not will wash away clear)
  4. Using the 4-well combination of clear and red, you will be able to determine your blood type with the included key

Possible ABO blood groups include A, B, AB, and O. Each of these can be Rh-positive or Rh-negative, meaning there are 8 possible blood types people can have: A+ or A-, B+ or B-, AB+ or AB-, and O+ or O-Wondering if you'll get a positive result or negative result? Try it out today!

*Blood typing is based on the way red blood cells clump together or agglutinate. Agglutination is caused by the presence of Anti-A & Anti-B antibodies reacting with the A & B antigens in the red blood cells.
