R.E.A.L. Science Odyssey Physics 1 Textbook

R.E.A.L. Science Odyssey gets kids to read, explore, absorb, and learn science in a fun, hands-on way! This Physics course introduces the scientific method and scientific vocabulary while covering the study of matter, motion, friction, work, sound and waves, magnetism, electricity, and even a glimpse into the quantum world. Each lesson is introduced with short story-like text that is expanded on in multiple activities. Activities help students to not only learn Newton's three laws of motion, but actually experiment with them and develop simple models of real-world applications such as electric motors. The activities take several forms, including scientific experiments, observation projects, and arts and craft activities. The 12 units provide a year of science at 1-2 times per week.

The textbook includes everything you need: student pages, instructor sheets, and lab sheets, plus extra resources like a materials list, glossary, assignment planning guide, and recommended books and websites. (The perforated student pages are reproducible, but extras can also be purchased separately.) Grades 3-6.
