Celestron StarSense Explorer LT 80AZ Smartphone App-Enabled Refractor Telescope

StarSense Explorer LT 80AZ simple altazimuth mount includes an altitude slow motion adjustment with a sliding rod to fine tune the telescope’s pointing position and follow targets as they appear to drift across the night sky. It’s all anchored by an adjustable, full-height tripod. Plus, with the fully coated glass optics and 80 mm aperture, views will be sharp and bright. Using the included 90-degree erect image diagonal, you'll also be perfectly equipped for daytime terrestrial viewing.

This telescope offers not only high-quality viewing but with it's light-weight (only 9.2 pounds total!) and compact size make it easy to take with you on-the-go. The set up is a breeze requiring no tools and only a few minutes to get started with your viewing.

It also comes with an adjustable tripod that enables you to customize the height or place it on uneven surfaces. Plus, you'll receive a number of accessories with the telescope including:

• Two eyepieces (25mm and 10mm) -  The two eyepieces offer different magnifications to view your intended object
• 2x Barlow lens - For even more magnification, connect your 2x Barlow lens to double the power of each eyepiece
• StarPointer(TM) red dot finderscope - The finderscope will help you quickly center an object in your eyepiece for easier observing.

Here's how it works:

1. After aligning your phone to the telescope’s optics (a quick, 2-minute procedure), StarSense Explorer generates a list of celestial objects currently visible.
2. Make your selection and arrows appear onscreen, guiding you as you to move the telescope.
3. When the object is ready to view, the bullseye turns green. The app uses patent-pending technology to determine exactly where the telescope is pointed in the dark, night sky.
