Frank Schaner | Founder & CEO

He started the company with a desire to help families teach science through hands-on learning that is practical, memorable, and full of discovery. Frank continues to lead HST with a long-term focus on purpose, people, stewardship, and helping students thrive through science.

Joseph Moffitt | COO

He helps turn strategy into focused action across the company, working with teams to improve execution, strengthen operations, and build a healthy employee-owned culture. Joseph supports the systems, rhythms, and cross-functional teamwork that help HST serve customers well and grow with discipline.

Anna Murnion | Marketing Director

She helps connect families, teachers, and schools with the products, guidance, and learning experiences that make hands-on science possible. Anna’s work brings together brand, storytelling, campaigns, customer insight, and practical communication so more students can experience the wonder of science.

Janey Busch | Director of Product and Supply Chain

She helps ensure HST offers products and learning experiences that are useful, reliable, and aligned with what families, teachers, and students need. Her work helps turn HST’s mission into products students can hold, use, explore, and remember.

David Petsch | Director of Operations

He leads HST’s day-to-day operations across Customer Care, Production, Order Fulfillment, and Material Flow, helping teams work efficiently and support the company’s growth. David is passionate about serving customers well and ensuring HST consistently exceeds their expectations.

Production Associate

The Production Associate performs essential production work, including kit assembly, batch repackaging, labeling, inspection, counting, and workspace organization. This role helps ensure that products are complete, accurate, well-presented, and ready for customers.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in warehouse, packaging, kitting, assembly, fulfillment, or production work preferred but not required.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and multi-step procedures accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities.
  • Dependable attendance and ability to work productively as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and ask questions when work instructions are unclear.
  • Alignment with Home Science Tools’ mission and core values.
