Magnetize Me

Perform investigations involving magnetism and electricity to learn how magnetic force, voltage, current, and resistance are connected. Make an electric motor, test different electromagnets, learn about electromagnetic forces, and design your own experiment.

This Launch level kit includes a full-color student workbook and a detailed teacher guide, with step-by-step instructions for both hands-on and reading-based activities designed to engage students in electricity and magnetism. Both teacher and student will be able to open the box and start within minutes, and the kit will provide over 15 hours of engaging learning.

In this kit, the student will engage in these hands-on learning experiences:

• Combine magnets and a battery to power a device that moves on its own.
• Investigate the magnetic forces created by electrical energy.
• Learn about the mathematical relationship between voltage, current, and resistance.
• Discover how electromagnetic forces can be predicted.
• Build and test motor designs using the materials in the kit.
