DESCRIPTION
This Water Treatment and Filtration Kit makes "polluted" water and the importance of water treatment plants clear! Kids will discover the "how" and "why" of water treatment and filtration. Then they put their learning to the test on a sample of "polluted" water.
This Innovating Science Kit from Aldon teaches water treatment plant processes and the reasons for each one. Then oversee students conduct their own small-scale water-treatment procedures on “polluted” water.
Students examine how the water changes after each treatment step. They observe physical characteristics of water, such as clarity, color, odor. Then kids note the effects of water treatment from the beginning of the treatment process until the end. Through observation and experimentation, the importance of water treatment plants becomes obvious!
The Water Treatment and Filtration Kit has enough materials for 5 groups of students. Teacher’s Manual and Student Study Guide copymasters are included.
You provide a large container, a small sharp object, and contaminants for water (soil, twigs, leaves, etc.).
