In this fun & educational card game, players become viruses competing to infect a host cell. Though simple-to-learn and quick-to-play, Virulence sneaks in science lessons about viruses. It's the fun way to teach kids about biology and immunity!
With this tabletop game, players use their bidding hand to win viral components cards and score points. Another strategy is building the power of their virus (bidding hand) to increase odds of winning critical bids later in the game.
The science concepts covered include: structure and components of viruses, genome, helical, icosahedral, spherical envelope, virus replication, vaccines, and mutations.
Here's how to play Virulence:
At once, all players place secret blind bids, determining the order they select from the available Viral Component cards. Players strive to be among the higher bidders in as many rounds as possible. But the real challenge is getting there without wasting their best bidding cards.
