This Levenhuk Skyline 120mm Reflector Telescope is a Newtonian reflecting telescope that provides greater magnification and less chromatic aberration than refractory telescopes in the same price range. This reduced chromatic aberration is especially noticeable when viewing bright deep-space objects. It is suitable for viewing all types of celestial objects, but the upside down image makes it less suitable for terrestrial viewing.
With a 114mm mirror, this telescope has phenomenal light gathering ability and 228x maximum theoretical magnification. The two eyepieces have 52° field-of-view, allowing you to see an incredible amount sky at once. These eyepieces also have enough eye relief so eyeglass wearers can use them without removing their glasses. The equatorial mount allows you to track stars and planets in the direction of the earth’s rotation. Additionally, this telescope is capable of astrophotography with the right eyepiece camera attachment.
Don't make the mistake of buying a telescope for the high magnification advertised. Many low-priced telescopes boast magnification of over 500x, which is totally unusable for three reasons.
Most night sky observing is done in the range of 25x-150x.
