Move beyond basic bristlebots! Perfect for older students building their first robot, or younger students ready to level up from our Bristlebot Kit, this kit takes robot-building a step further.
Build either a light-tracking robot that chases a beam of light, or a solar-powered robot that runs on sunlight. All the parts are reusable, so you can build one, play with it as long as you like, then swap the parts to build the other.
Moving along on twin toothbrush heads (not included), these robots are fun enough to be a toy, but with the test conditions laid out in the instructions, they're also a great robotics engineering science project.
We've pre-attached tinned leads so there's no soldering or wrestling flimsy wires into a breadboard and color-coded the jumper cables to match the step-by-step diagrams and photos. Even students with no previous electronics experience can build with confidence.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED: This kit includes all the electronics parts for either build. From home, you'll also need toothbrush heads, double-sided foam tape, scissors or wire cutters, and a flashlight. The exact items depend on which advanced bristlebot you build. Check the instructions for a full list.
Please note: The brushes and googly eyes pictured are for inspiration only and aren't included in this kit. Use them as a starting point for your own design!
