DESCRIPTION

If you've ever been to or watched sporting events, you've probably seen several sports drinks on the sidelines. Why? Sports drinks are filled with electrolytes, which your body loses as you sweat; it's important to replenish them!

Do sports drinks really provide more electrolytes than other drinks, such as orange juice? Use this electrolyte challenge sensor kit to find out!

With this chemistry science kit, middle school and high school students can learn all about electrolysis and how to measure electrolytes' concentration in a solution. This electrolyte challenge sensor kit comes with all the materials needed to build your own electrolyte sensor - an engaging, hands-on, DIY science activity!

  • Orange Juice vs. Sports Drink: Does Gatorade have more electrolytes than orange juice?
  • How many electrolytes are in coconut water, the latest sports drink fad?

No need to go to Google to find out! Discover the answers to these questions yourself, then test solutions and experiment with different recipes to create your own sports drink
